Stephen King

As a fan of horror movies, I adore him and his fantasy about horror. And when October comes and Halloween in peeking from the front door, I think people will think about him more over. I think about him more too, especially when many of his famous horror movie were shown in TV these month.
Today's meme will quote some of his statements and see if you can connect yourself with him. Here is Stephen King.

1. “I tend to scare myself…”
When was the last time you scared yourself?
I can't remember if I never get scared of my own self.

2. “Time heals all wounds…”
What was the longest it took you to recover from an illness, injury or surgery?
I think it will be Illness. I have allergic of seafood since I was a little girl. And doctor said that I was never going to be completely cured since it's in my blood. All I can do is make peace of it and avoid anything that could call my allergic back. That's why I don't eat seafood much.

3. “Your first impulse is to share good news. Your second is to club someone over the head with it…”
What was the last good news you had to share?
The newest one is we will fly to my hometown with the first flight tomorrow to attend my younger sister's wedding. I miss my hometown and all my family there. I can't tell you how happy I am right now.

4. “When it comes to the past, we all stack the deck…”
Is there something in your past you speak highly of that was not so great while you were going through it?
I think I have some of them which I can't share with you all here :)

5. “Do you drink? Of course! I just said I was a writer!..”
What do you need to drink to do?
I don't drink and I never had any pressure to drink before doing anything ever.

6. “If you liked being a teenager, then there’s something really wrong with you…”
What did you like about being a teenager?
Well, my teenager was fun enough, we still didn't familiar with bully or that stuff and we enjoy every moment we have spending time together without having to face the adults problem. Just fun and fun. In fact, we always love to share stories to each other about how we want to have the fun of teenage life back. I don't know about you guys LoL Is there something wrong with me then?

7. “Nobody likes a clown at midnight…”
What do you like at midnight?
Uninterrupted sleeping. That's what I need at midnight. Everything else can wait till the morning comes.

8. “It is the tale, not he who told it…”
Who is your favorite teller of tales or jokes?
I don't have a special one. I enjoy every jokes that I consider to be worth to hear.

9. “The trust of the innocent is the liar’s most useful tool…”
Were you ever conned or fooled into a scam?
Not yet. I hope I can prevent myself from getting anything like that.

10. “If fear cannot be articulated, then it can’t be conquered…”
What do you fear?
My fear is Cockroaches! I know, silly me. But I always jump like a crazy people every time I saw that nasty critter around me. I hate it's color and I hate it's bad smell the most.

Our Five Basic Freedoms

Just in case we forgot about our Five Basic Freedoms. There are so many violation to our rights in so many parts of this world. The authorities should able to guarantee these five freedoms to their citizens, otherwise we will only see chaos every where. I don't know whether you noticed or not, that the chaos is getting worse...everywhere...

Another Tainted Milk Scandal In China

I know that reality of our instant noodles scandal we had just few days a go is insane enough to make us all angry. How can there be people who able to produce kind of foods which consumed national (and international) wide with “garbage” inside. Such an irresponsible people! But, there is newest horrible news about tainted food which able to make you very mad also.
Recently, the authority of China (once again) must deal with tainted milk in infant formulas. It said that this tainted infant formula had caused a very bad effect to few infant girls in China. What kind of bad effect? These infant girl show signs of premature development which means they don’t grow as well as they supposed to be, including weight gain and height. I wonder what kind of poison was inside those tainted infant formula milk.
Infants are the most vulnerable persons in this world and they can’t even tell their parents if they feel sick or pain. Adults should protect them and help them to grow instead of feeding them with "poison" like this. Remember, those infants are the future leaders and if something bad happens to them, you can imagine what is going to happen in the next 50 years.
I hope this disaster will never happen in this country. Poisoning adult people is scandalous enough and disappointing millions of people already. Do not aim your evil mind to our precious future leaders by poisoning their infant formula milk whatsoever. Have mercy for God sake!

I'm so Proud of You All

1. What are you proud of?
I proud of everything I have right now. From my life as a homemaker, my smart and gorgeous 3y daughter, my loving husband, to all my family members. They all make me feel grateful for the life God's granted.

2. What is the best thing you’ve ever won as a prize? How did you win it?
Never win any special prizes yet LoL. I join many contest or giveaways bust somehow fortune still refuse to smile at me. Hahaha.. I hope I'll be lucky to win one someday.

3. Tell us about something you've done that in retrospect was a waste of time.
I was addicted to Facebook's games almost this entire year. I manage to quit last month and remove all those application from my account. I finally realize that those games were really wasting my time :(
Thank God I can free myself from that addiction now.

4. How old were you when life changed the most for you? How did it change?
When I was 19 years old. I must move to a different town to enter university. It was hard to leave your hometown at the first time, especially when you realized that you must learn to be independent and able to manage your own self since your parents will be far away. That's the time when my life really changed :)

5. Tell us about a place you that you've been that you considered to be very tranquil.
There is a resort hotel nearby a mountain back in my hometown. We usually went there during a short holiday and spent one night. It was such a tranquil place far away from the busy time we lived on. You can't even hear the cars' horns there, so peacefully.

6. Who is your favorite news anchor/reporter? Why?
I don't have any particular favorite news anchor LoL I just need to listen to what the say and I don't really care if they're pretty/handsome or not, as long as they can read the news well because I hate stuttered news anchors.

7. If you were to have the opportunity to name a new town or city, what would you call it? Why?
Notre Dame. Hahaha.. I don't know why but I was so obsessed with this name, though I know that it wasn't even a place, but a cathedral. I think those two words sound exotic and mysterious. LoL. Silly me! :D

8. What is something about which you've always wondered but have not yet found a good answer?
I always wonder, how come pedophiles have their evil interest over children in their minds. Those people are absolutely insane and must be sentenced to electrocution without trial! No need to listen to whatever reasons or denials or excuses they share. They're disgusting!

9. When you can't go to sleep, what is your personal remedy to help yourself drift into Lullabyland?
Books and books and books. They always help me. I love books.

That's my entry fro this weekend, fellas.. Have a great weekend there.

Could Facebook Possibly Sell My Information?

For serious Facebookers like me (grin) I think there was time when we at least read one the ads on the side bar once. What do you say? Yes, I’m a serious Facebookers, I must admit. But not only for the social networking stuff for sure. My Facebook account is also seriously correlated with my three blogs. Theoretically, I use my Facebook account to spread my thoughts on blogs so that I will be able to expand my readers including my friends on Facebook. Surprisingly, my friends love my posts and that’s all I need to keep writing LoL.
Anyway, back to the ads topic above then. Please do an observation about what kind of ads do you have on your sidebar when you’re logged into your Facebook account. Well, I can tell you about mine. My sidebar ads are always about how homemakers like me could earn money from home (you must know what I mean; most of them are dbc network ads). Then I also often see ads about wonder bras, online boutiques, and medicinal herbs for women. I also see ads about parenting so many times. Then I realized that those ads are actually targeted to me as a stay at home mother.
According to some researches held by independent institutions, they conclude that there is a possibility that Facebook may sell their users information to advertisers so that they could make targeted ads. They found out that the sidebar ads offers may vary depends on information you gave on your account.
Theoretically, the reason why I keep seeing those dbc network ads along with the online shopping stuff, it’s because I describe myself as a stay at home mother on my account. When I was so addicted with games, I saw so many online games ads on my sidebar. But after I quit from those games, I never saw those ads again. That’s why I think that somehow I believe about the possibility that Facebook may sell my identity for this commercial purpose.
FYI, I locked all my information tightly so they're only available for my friends. So, if you’re not in my friends list, you won’t be able to collect information about me except reading my blogs and notes part. Not even my networks or friends of friends. And the third part which stores my every information would be Facebook itself. I never sell my information whatsoever, I’m sure none of my friends did. Then my finger is pointing on Facebook right now. They may share my information to the advertisers who obviously pay them for that commercial stuff, that’s why I got those targeted ads on my sidebar.
Facebook deny the fact that has been revealed through these researches and insists that they always keep their users information as secrets and forbid advertisers from trying to collect any information from users. And all I can say is: “Ya..ya..ya..I believe you did..” (GRIN) That's fine, I don't write any crucial information in my account, dear.
So, what kind of ads do you see in your sidebar now? Are they suitable to your information you gave to Facebook? ;)

Our Local Instant Noodles Aren't Safe!

We must admit that people in Indonesia are so familiar with instant noodles whether you like it or not. Do you see how these instant noodles even become the most popular kind of food to send to certain disaster-stricken regions? I guess it’s all because this kind of noodles can be used for a long time without having to worry about them being rotten or damage and not to mention about the cheap price either. No wonder instant noodles can be found easily everywhere and preferred by most people here. Even the rich people love these noodles. They also love the various kinds of favors and the great taste as well. That’s why I told you that in this country, instant noodle has been so popular for so many years.
After reading news about how imported instant noodles from Indonesia have been banned and forbidden to sell in different countries, I felt so shocked. The most popular kind of food in my country which eaten by millions of people here were claimed as dangerous food and were banned! So what kind of food that we actually eat these years then? Have we consumed all those dangerous ingredients this whole time then?
I think the authority should take responsibility of this shame. There are so many food experts or institutes which able to investigate this problem right away. It’s not easy to forget something that has been last for so many years such as consuming these instant noodles. But I believe, if somehow the related experts or institutes claimed that certain instant noodles in Indonesia are hazardous and not worth to eat, people will voluntarily stop consuming it. Don’t make us all eat that garbage while people in different countries have found out about it and throw the noodles to the garbage can.
If it turns out that there’s nothing wrong with our local instant noodles, then fix that banned issue as soon as possible. Show them that we produce a safe and healthy kind of food which also prescribes by the international standard regulation.
All we need is you making an official statement whether local instant noodles safe or not and people will follow. Don’t just sit there and pretend that everything will get better real soon. We're still waiting!

Anyway, I want to display the latest award I got from a blogger friend, Jen in ~Ever After~ I'm sorry it took me so long to post is. But I want to thank you for your kindness, Jen. I really appreciate it :)

To My Dear And Loving Husband

Today is our 4th Anniversary. It's been four years since our wedding vow and we are still in love. Some said marriage sucks. But for us, marriage has been a huge blessing especially when we have our beautiful Asha with us. I pray that The Almighty God who put us together will teach us more about wisdom, respect, responsibilities and love. May God bless our family abundantly for the rest of our life.
***
If ever two were one, then surely we.
If ever man were loved by wife, then thee;
If ever wife was happy in a man,
Compare with me, ye women, if you can.
I prize thy love more than whole mines of gold
Or all the riches that the East doth hold.
My love is such that rivers connot quench,
Nor ought but love from thee, give recompense.
Thy love is such I can no way repay,
The heavens reward thee manifold, I pray.
Then while we live, in love let's so persevere
That when we live no more, we may live ever.

Absolutely No Styrofoam For My Yoghurt!

I’m a big fan of frozen yoghurt from certain famous brand in Indonesia. I will stop by in the store at least once a week to buy my favorite yoghurt with fruit topping. As usual, I always buy the biggest package just to get more yoghurt inside LoL. The last time I checked, the biggest package call as “Share package” with three different toppings and served in a medium paper box. Last Saturday, I went there to buy my weekly frozen yoghurt and ordered the Share one.
The waitress offered me their new package called “Take Away” which apparently was bigger (yay!!) with four kinds of toppings for just small amount of extra money. I agreed instantly. I was going to get plenty of frozen yoghurt inside my paper box. Hmmm..... Well, they gave me good news and bad news at the same time and I was really disappointed with this Take Away package. Indeed, I got the yoghurt twice as much than I usually got, that’s the good news. And the bad news is that they also changed the container from a medium size paper box into a bigger size STYROFOAM BOX!! Oh…My…God!!!!
Though this new box is bigger than the old one, but it’s a Styrofoam for goodness sake! I wonder whether these people ever heard about Global Warming or not! I seldom find any stores which still use Styrofoam as container for their foods nowadays. But here, I found a big and famous company uses this poison thing as food container. I was SOO disappointed.
I sent email recently through their website and describe how disappointed I am with this new package. Though I love the frozen yoghurt but I will definitely endanger my own health by consuming food from Styrofoam box! That’s for sure. And the other thing is that I don’t want to buy food which also endangers my environment like this one. I do care about Global Warming and I don’t want to be a part of those who consciously refuse to pay more attention about how complicated is the situation we have right now.
I will absolutely stop buying their frozen yoghurt until they replace the poisonous Styrofoam box with another healthy and environmentally friendly container! I wrote this post to help spread the awareness about this Global Warming issue, my friends. Stop using any kind of garbage containers such as Styrofoam which can be very dangerous to your own health and your environment. Those big companies out there should find safer ways to sell their products. They must show their support to overcome this environmental issue instead of thinking about money..money..and money only!

They Have A Modern-Advanced Yet Empty School!

When I visit a blog from other country blogger yesterday, I found an interesting post about school. The blog itself contains many great photographs taken by the blog owner. In this post, he captured a big-modern building which looks empty and abandoned. Later I found out that the building is a school which temporarily closed due the strike initiated by the students of the school themselves. I found this school picture post as ironic.
In such a developed country like that, a modern and advanced school building has been neglected by the students. While here in Indonesia, students must struggle with dilapidated-plain building which we called as school. Can you see the ironic part?
In here, you need to pay plenty of money if you want to go to school for better education. If you can’t afford it, then you must satisfy yourself with the low quality kind of school where most of the teachers attend the class for just five or less days in a week. It’s a kind of school where you need to share one book with three or even four other students, because book is expensive and the school can’t afford it. It’s also a kind of school where you steadfastly accept the condition that your classroom’s roof is leak so that when the rain comes you must study in a wet-broken table. But from what I saw on TV, those students still put a big smile on their faces and listen to their teacher with enthusiasm.
Meanwhile, in a far away country, the students indeed equipped with a modern and advanced building. With that kind of school, I don’t think that they need to share a book together in class just like students in Indonesia. They certainly use comfortable tables and chairs and never saw raindrops from their classroom’s leak roof. Every thing is completely equipped and well managed. But guess what happened! The students choose to strike and close their own school for unlimited time with various kinds of stupid reasons such as missing books or not enough holidays. Ironic!
